Bernadette M. Martinez

I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago and will always be a city girl at heart. I attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando and lived in the sunshine state for 10 years before moving to South Korea to teach English.

I had the opportunity to travel all over South Korea and to Japan, Cambodia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Australia during my four years there. The travel bug not only bit me, but melded with me to give me a permanent itch to see, experience, and appreciate new people, places, and things. I want to see all the things in all the places.

A few additional tidbits: I love writing. I’m an animal lover. I rarely meet a boy band I don’t like. I’m a sucker for fantasy and sci-fi, be it in books on on screen. Most of my free time is spent traveling, writing, or with my dachshunds, Jayde and Romeo. I am constantly learning and have a slight obsession with figuring out how to do things that confuse me. Like setting up a website. 😉

I’m passionate about everything I do and I genuinely love helping others. That has gotten me into trouble and been the cause of some very long nights, but it is what drives me and makes me happy. I insisted on learning things the hard way and want to help others take a shorter path. Or, at least a more organized one.
